These folders contain handwritten or typed copies of city ordinances approved by Boulder City Council between 1879 and 1888 (bulk 1879-1882). They concern a wide range of city affairs, but particularly the construction of streets and sidewalks, the levying of taxes and the issuance of permits. The name Water Street was later changed to Canyon Boulevard.

On November 4, 1871, the original town site of Boulder, consisting of an area extending for two miles along Boulder Creek and divided into 4044 lots, along with three additional parcels of land, were incorporated by the County.
